ADHD, or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, is a neurological disorder which is always present from childhood and later develops into hyperactivity, forgetfulness or distractibility. ADHD is also a known chronic syndrome for which there is no cure or medical treatment. This syndrome is said to affect approximately 3 to 5% of the population.

ADHD is also referred to as "ADD" at times, and is mostly known to manifest itself in children (ADHD affects almost around 6 out of 10 children!). Recent studies show that the ADHD disorder is also found in adults, and the rate is accelerating. According to a research, this disorder lasts almost till their adulthood or in some cases their entire life. Although there is no cure for this disorder, certain treatments such as behavior modification and a balanced diet are said to help.

But usually this medical condition comes from genetics but it is possible to get it from other things. Like for example if your father has ADHD there is about a 75% chance you will also have it but it may not be quite as bad or it could even be worse.
