Answer Question

    If x>0, |x| becomes x.
    if x<0, |x| becomes -x.

    Therefore we have to think two possible cases for this equation:

    if 2a+1<0,
    -5(-2a -1) - 1 = -51.
    10a + 5 - 1 = -51
    10a = -55
    a = -5.5

    if 2a+1>0,
    -5(2a+1) - 1 = -51.

    -10a - 5 - 1 = -51

    -10a = -45

    a = -4.5
