Henderson basically is a town situated in the Jefferson County, New York, based in United States. According to the census conducted in the year 2000 the total population of this region was 1,377.
The town gets its name from William Henderson, who was the initial land owner. The town was founded in the year 1806, thought colonizers started to arrive in the year 1802. The census report of the 2000 stated that the total area of this region was 137.2 square kilometres out of which 107 square kilometres was land and 30.2 square kilometres was covered by water.
The ethnic break up of this region was 98.69% being white, 0.22% Native American, 0.58% from other races and 0.515 being from two or more races.
