Jacob Davis and Levi Strauss are related in many ways. The first came in contact when Jacob asked Levi Strauss to help him in protection of his harnessing product made up of copper rivets. They got this patent and began a partnership because of which Jacob became the production manager of Levi Strauss company and also moved to San Francisco.
Jacob was a tailor by profession. He was born in the year 1831 at a place in Latvia called Riga. On the other hand, Levi Strauss was the founder of Levi Strauss company. He was born on 26 February 1829 in Butternheim- a place in Bavaria, Germany. He was a Jew and moved to United States in the year 1947.
