    I Have Proof Of 17,000 Being Paid, A Signed Doc. That Rent Is $389 Monthly Until. Incl. Single Mom W/ 2 Owner/stepdad Serv. Me A Det. 2day Saying I Owe 3000. What Do I Do?

    I am a single mother of 2 who was on the wrong path and am struggling yet succeeding at staying on the right path even with the barriers that make most stumble back to the wrong path. I am not most, most don't have what I have. 2 healthy, smart, beautiful blessings who I love, want, and need to provide for. I need to be a good example so I will stay on the right path! Please invest your time and mind in your answer to my question. I need all the help I can get!

    If you have contract with document as proof then you can use that proof against your landlord and can sue him on the basis of this proof. Usually while renting home all terms and conditions are decided and both parties are legally bound to follow them.

    Its not a contract its just a letter written and signed by my landlord stating that I pay the space rent of $389 and he pays the utilities. I needed proof of my rent so he gave this to me. he now says the verbal agreement made was 1000 a month. Hes trying to say I owe 3000 for Jan.-Mar. I have proof that I pre-payed him 12,000 when I moved in 7/2006 and another 1500 5/2007 and the resource that helped me in Dec. 2007 w/3000 when he served me with a 3 day notice then. That's proof of 16,500 and the letter states I pay the space rent of $389. Isn't that proof that I am payed for 3 1/2 yrs.? Also I have become aware that the property I rent from him is a subsidized space rent fee that he has received from the gov. It is illegal to rent any property subsidized by the gov. for more than the subsidized amount. If so that is steeling from the gov. FRAUD! So none of this (papers- letters- verbal agreements(said to have by plaintiff) should even be facts in this matter, the real fact is that by Law he can only rent this property for the subsidized amount given by the gov. and payed by him. With this being fact and me having proof of 16,500 being given to him, my rent is payed for 3 1/2 yrs. and if he wants me to move he needs to quit LYING, giving me 3 day notices and saying I owe rent and give me a 60 notice to move, and pay me back the amount of rent already payed for the months my children and I will not be residing in his owned home. My statements and facts are correct aren't they? If not please let me know or just reply with your suggestions. Anything is extremely appreciated by my family and I! THANK YOU!
