Who Invented The Internet?

So that I could write that person.

The prior blurt-it-ers pretty much answered your questions, however former Vice-President Al Gore is one of the few people that ever publicly announced himself as the "Inventor" of the INTERNET. What he invented in relation to the INTERNET no one really can nail down, but let's not forget the INTERNET is us!

Too funny! I just got an email with X-Vice Gore's home compared to current GWB. Not taking sides but it shows the X-Vice has his personal home which costs $4,000 a month just for natural gas! Prez-GWB has a green home with its own recycled water, heat, and very high-tech Green-Thumb home in Texas. I guess from this email the green-house uses a very minimal amount of energy and was designed by some professor that teaches green! Love him or hate him he is a President Green-Bush! LOL

Vinton G. Cerf and Robert E. Kahn were awarded the 2004 A.M.Turing Award... Considered the "Nobel Prize of Computing,"... For pioneering work on the design and implementation of the Internet's basic communications protocols... But I'm sure there were many unsung hero's responsible as well.

Internet was invented in the year 1973 by the United States Department of Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency for the purpose of communication within a small restricted area and was termed as ARPAnet. This internet then became a part of universities and collages in the US which then led to the development of the world wide web by an English scientist Timothy Berners-Lee in the year 1989 for CERN.
