The role of the Incredible Hulk was played by Eric Bana in the film The Hulk released in 2003; the series the Incredible Hulk which was popular in the late seventies and early eighties had Lou Ferrigno playing the role of the Hulk with Bill Bixby playing the role of Dr. Banner the Hulk's alter ego. The character of the Incredible Hulk was first created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby of Marvel Comics and since then the superhero has become one of the most popular and most recognized fictional character in the world of comics.
The origin of the Hulk is based on the transformation of Dr. Robert Bruce Banner in to the Hulk endowed with superhuman strength; the transformation takes place when Banner gets angry or emotionally disturbed. Banner is depicted as a nuclear scientist who while experimenting with a gamma bomb got caught in the line of explosion and was exposed to a huge amount of gamma radiations which supposedly transformed him in to the Hulk originally.
