    The tallest mountain in the world is named Mount Everest. It was named after Sir George Everest. Sir George Everest served as the Surveyor General of India. He conducted the Great Trigonometrical Survey of India for twenty-five years of his service. His work was further developed after he passed away before completing his research. Today, this triangulation network is used to find the exact position of the Mount Everest.
