 RAF Cottesmore is located in Rutland in England. It is a Royal Air Force station. This Air Force station of RAF Cottesmore actually falls between Market Overton and Cottesmore. This facility actually houses all the operations related to the Harrier GR7 Squadrons of the Royal Air Force and the ones in No 122 Expeditionary Air Wing. The RAF Cottesmore opened on the 11th of March in the year 1938. The main purpose of the RAF Cottesmore station was to be strictly used for training.

In the July of 1980 Cottesmore was assigned as a home to Tri-National Tornado Training Establishment (TTTE). The training process officially opened on the 29th of January in the year 1981. It was used to train pilots in the handling of Panavia Tornado. It used to train pilots from RAF, the Italian Air Force, Luftwaffe and the German Navy.
