Regarding References In A CV That Targets Jobs In Education And Educational Publishing, Should The CV Just List The Reference Names & Contact Info, Or Should It Include Recommendation Letters That Target The Education Industry In General?

I have been a professor at a community college for 25 years and I am updating my CV. I anticipate applying for jobs at private high schools, community colleges, and educational publishing companies. Several colleagues have agreed to write recommendation letters, but at this point I have not applied for any particular job. Should I ask my colleagues for general letters of recommendation targeted at the education industry, or should I simply list these people as references in the CV, and ask for letters when I apply for a specific job?

If you have some jobs in hand or you know the institutions and positions that you aim at, then writing the names is a good idea.
Otherwise it could be general to the industry at large.

I probably did not make my first question clear. I know that my CV should list the names and contact info for at least three reference people. And I know that if I have a particular job that I want to apply for, I should ask these people to write letters of recommendation that are specific to the job I'm applying for. However, if I DON'T have a specific job I'm applying for, should my CV just include the names and contact info, or should I also ask these people for general letters of recommendation as part of my CV.
    Thanks,
