Guinness World Records has just awarded the honorable title of Worlds Biggest Dog to Hercules. Hercules is considered extremely large even for an English Mastiff. He weighs 282 pounds and his neck measurement is 38 inches. He is reported to have "paws the size of softballs" and is far heavier than the English Mastiff's standard 200lb. limit. This three-year-old monster is owned by Mr. Flynn who says that despite giving him the normal dog food in the proper specified quantities, Hercules just never stopped growing.
Hercules' sheer volume won him the world title of the Largest Dog . However, he may be up for some stiff competition in the coming years from Kell, the world's heaviest dog who had weighed a whopping 286 pounds in 1999. This two year old has a 32-inch neck but is expected to keep growing due to a special diet that includes 100lb of beef and many gallons of goats' milk every week.
