How To Repair A Swamp Cooler?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Evaporative coolers are also referred to as swamp or desert coolers. They are basically cooling devices that make optimum use of the natural phenomena of evaporation of water in air. The coolers differ in form and are available to function within the scope of refrigeration or air conditioning. These appliances are designed to use the absorption refrigeration rote. In many parts of the world, smaller evaporative coolers are also referred to as swamp coolers by dedicated users on account of the humid air conditions prevalent.
In case of a system failure, you need to address the following features within the system:

    - The in-built psychometric chart to calculate the recorded wet bulb temperature.
    - The recorded difference between the ambient temperature and the dewpoint.
    - The relative humidity on recorded.

The fact that these evaporative or swamp coolers perform best in dry conditions, they are used extensively and most effectively in arid regions. In practice, it may be hard to foretell swamp cooler performance from the easily accessible standard weather report information, because most weather reports usually contain the recorded dewpoint and relative humidity levels, but not the wet bulb temperature. There are a number of online and offline resources dedicated to the repair and maintenance of the swamp coolers marketed worldwide.
