What Does RSVP Mean?

    The term 'RSVP' is being used on the invitations and the purpose it serves is that of to request the receiver of the invitation to reply. The term has its origin in the French language from where the abbreviated term has been taken; the French term is 'respondez s'il vous plait'. In French also the term came to being in the last decade of the nineteenth century.
          
    The term is considered as a very popular and whenever somebody is using the term on the invitation that he is sending to you, he expect you to reply to his invitation. One of the unique aspects of this term is that theses days hardly anybody knows about the origin of the term, but it is among the most used words in the world.
