Answer Question

Cove is a closely confined small bay. It is partially surrounded by land but has a wide inlet towards the sea or an ocean. You can also call it a small inlet. A cove is also a kind of a cave or a little valley in the mountain side. One can also encounter a narrow pass between woods, which is nothing but a cove. In the architectural parlance, a concave structure formed from the junction of a ceiling and a wall is also called as a cove.
In British usage, a cove refers to a guy or a man.

Normally a cove is formed when a thin line of relatively strong rocks like limestone form a coastline with a group of weak rocks like sandy deposits or clay. A band of strong rocky formation like limestone usually becomes the back of the cove. Lulworth Cove in Dorset is a good example of a cove.
