My Hamster Had 7 Babies I Just Had 1day With Her, They Told Me She Was A Male, She Had Them In That Fluffy Paper , I Don't Have Experience With Them, Can You Help?

I put it in a clear cage, she seemed in stress in the one I had bought, the next morning she had babies, she had them under the water container, thinking they were going to get wet, I changed the water but now she is moving them were the water is, also do have to change the bedding, or do I leave it like DAT, since it is a new hamster I've had it less than a week she seems to be a little scared from us, what do I do?

I've had 2 litters. For both litters they were born under the water bottle. It's a hamster thing. Just leave the babies alone, don't touch them until they're 2 weeks old. Try to stay away from the cage altogether. Only if you need to feed the mother or fill the bottle you can. If this is her first litter she will be under a lot of stress, also because she's in a new environment. If you need to move the babies around use a spoon and if you find a dead baby remove it right away. Or just ask a vet or the pet store.

First, I hope you kept the receipt for her (or the health guarantee). If so, take her to the store you bought immediately, they will most likely refund your money (even if you keep her). They will either take the babies (if you want them to) or if you want to keep the babies, tell the manager of the store that you are going to keep them but you want to take them to get checked by a vet and they will most likely help you pay the vet bill since they were irresponsible for selling you a pregnant hamster. It really isn't too hard to care for hamsters, babies or adults. They are fairly self-sufficient and the mother will most likely care for her young. If it seems like she is aggressive towards them, which she might be (they sometimes eat their young, fairly rarely happens) put the babies in a separate habitat and care for them yourself, if that is the case, you must take them to a vet who will tell you what supplements they need to be receiving. Good luck!
