Would You Like To See A New Category For Etiquette?
I think it would be a good thing to have that added to the category list, what about you? People could ask for tips on manners in situations, dinner etiquette, all kinds of things. You all know I leave wow ratings, someone isn't using proper etiquette here.

Yes, good idea... We could teach men not to scratch in public!!! Kids can learn to not interrupt when your talking/blurting, and to knock before entering the parents bedroom when the door is closed!!!

No freakin' kidding! LMAO
LOL does that work both ways? Do we mean get to educate the women, too?
ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!! I am still laughing motherbear, and tiggersmom, didn't picture you saying that, but that's life you know!!!!!!! lol!!!!!
I would serve a good purpose here and would be put to great utilization. I wouldn't mind this category being put into place.

Thank you very much Zexy, I think it would be a real nice addition to the site. ♥
I appreciate the answer. Very nice. ♥
Very good idea being none of my kids have gotten married yet. There are certain things you do at formal occasions. Peace

Yes I know some men like Rockstar just don't like to see women smoking those cigarettes in public! I've tried quitting so many times it's hard to count....♥ puff puff.....I think an etiquette section for blurtit would be real good...aka Emily Post of etiquette for blurtit members..

Kid, my answer was meant as tongue in cheek humor, nothing more. You ladies can smoke any durn place a man can, sexist I'm not!
I quit 10 years ago....♥
Thank you so much.
you are so welcomed
It's a great idea, Tig. I agree with the comment about the kids, drives me crazy. I think we can all learn new things about etiquette, so go for it! Looks like WB might have a lot to learn. It has to be done, just to save society from him!!lol

All for it! I think some of the younger (age) blurters would really get a kick out of it, & probably use a lot of it. Let me know when it starts up. Luv ya.

Hi honey! ♥
Definitely for it. Stop these women from smoking in public! One of my biggest pet peeves is seeing a lady smoking!

Good idea, but consider expanding it. If there were subcategories, it could be useful for comparing etiquette from our different cultural backgrounds.

Great suggestion as well! Different cultures, especially asian, view manners differently.

In Japan it can be an insult if you hand your business card to someone in the wrong way.

Or if you put their business card in your back pocket.

I can only comprehend your first sentence. Excellent job.
What do you think really bill? Great answer, made me laugh. ♥
I think it's a wonderful idea Tigg! Maybe you could teach me some!
I'd definitely be in favor of it. Of course, different people have different ideas of what's acceptable and what isn't.

I'd love to. I think manners is something everybody should at least know and it would be great to give tips to people that don't know as much about manners!

You spoke my heart tug. In addition to above responses FOR it. I would add that category should be broadened in such way that we can also easily see questions(category wise) that show us different country's behaviors(Etiquette's). It would make blurtit give really another meaning of global village and will be helping us to understand more different meanings of etiquette's worldwide.

Great idea Life!!!
I think Etiquette would be great! I had to attend classes when I was a kid and am always fixing the place settings for people. And how many people do you know who actually know which glasses are for which beverage? And don't get me started on the whole cell phone/texting when you are with other people...
And is my family the only one left that sends real thank you notes anymore? I said something to one of my son's friend's moms and she said, "oh, he calls and says thank you. That's enough." Not where I come from it isn't.
Sorry. Got up on my soap box there. I am climbing back down now.
Excellent idea to add this as a category.

Hello, all, thanks for the suggestion. We are currently reorganizing the categories to make things easier. It will be live in the next month or so, at which time we will look at adding it. Hope it answers your question.

Thank you so much love. I really think it would add to the site, and Life suggested that there be sub categories for different cultures around the world too. Sounds good to me. Thank you again love. Much appreciated.
the only problem with an etiquette category...I'll have to buy ink for my printer more often as I will CONSTANTLY be printing stuff for my family..... Particularly the outside-peeing, scratching, farting, belching, nose picking, toilet-seat living up GUYS that reside under my roof.... Where's miss manners when we need her? LOLLOLLOL!!

LMAO ROFF!!!! That is a good one love! ♥
Mati, please read Daisyw's answer on this subject. lol, good idea.
Yes etiquette.......and then I will be like MATI f only I will bring it to WORK....where you bring goodies for all to share and someone goes up and helps themselves to 3 or 4 then take more to take home.....when there cleary was just a tad bit more for each person to have 2...there are some people who just have not been taught any better they just might have an EPIPHANY !! Please bring it on......tell Mati_f to get the printer fired up.....

Sounds great and obviously well received by many. Let's do it! I think etiquette is really kindnes shown in all things. However, mores are changing so fast it is hard to know what that looks like in a given situation today. For instance, how do you interupt a person that has been talking on their cell phone for fifteen minutes as you have tried to ask them an important work related question?
