Do Dog Years Go In Sevens?

I have 3 black labs. When I first my babies I ask the vet that same question so here goes it: The first 2 years of the pups life are just like us, but after that then you add 7 years to our 1 year. Plus it all depends on the type of dog you have because each breed of dogs age differently.
