I would like to know the current price per ton for scrap automobiles. I have a 1991 GEO Storm that weighs approxamatly 2400 pounds. I can not get onto the price pages for my local scrapyards.

Well most scrap yards will not take full cars.... Junk yards will. But sheet metal which is probably what they will give you is 75.00 a ton right now, you would make so much more money by scrapping it out. I'm sure it has an aluminum transmission, tons of copper wire, the radiator, possibly aluminum wheels. Now separating all of that with a little hard work can more then triple your money easily.
