My Hamster Has A Growth On His Rear End, What Is That?

I've had my hamster since May of this year, about a few weeks ago I noticed that there was a large growth on his rear end. Today my daughter called me at work and said there seems to be some kind of insect coming out the rear end of the hamster, I warned her not to touch it until I got home, what in the world could that be.

I would take it to a vet. It could be mites, but usually those are quite small and hard to see, hamsters can get worms to. The vet is your best option! I'm not even gonna try and guess, if I guess wrong and you do as I suggest I would just hate it to be fatal to the pet. I wish you the best.
