Is Playground Equipment Safe?

　　Generally playground equipment is safe and if bought from a reliable source it is usually fine to use. However, there are safety instructions you should follow once the equipment has been set up.

　　With slides it is a good idea to place a mat at the bottom of the slide so that your child cannot fall off at the end and hurt themselves. Also all playground equipment which is not close to the floor should ideally have some kind of soft material below it so that if the child does fall, they will not hurt themselves. Grass is usually good enough but it is always a good idea to make sure that you make the equipment as safe as possible and by placing something such as sand around the equipment, you are ensuring that your child is going to be safe.
