Can A Kitten Give Parvo To A Dog?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Dogs can only get Canine Parvo virus from contact with other dogs or items and areas that are contaminated with canine parvo virus. You can have your dog immunized against this, and you should be okay. You should isolate the kitten that is ill to prevent spread to the other kittens or cats you have, and of course contact your vet asap. You should wash any items contaminated (or potentially contaminated) with bodily fluids thoroughly in an antiviral cleaner like lysol or bleach. (Please rinse them VERY well before you give them back to the kitties.) Good luck!
