How Can One Be Diagnosed W/ PCOS Yet Have No Cysts Show On CT's Or Ultrasounds?

I was diagnosed w/ PCOS and have been treating it as my dr. Prescribes, but I really can't tell a difference. The CT's and ultrasounds show no cysts on ovaries and I wonder if I am misdiagnosed. Do the symptoms stay around even with treatment?

Poly cystic ovarian syndrome is a condition of more than 10 pearl like cysts in the ovary. This is accompanied by many more problems that is why it is called syndrome. The cysts are more clearly visible on the 12the day of periods. The ultrasound should be done by trans vaginal probe. Otherwise the result will not be reliable. Also get ultrasound from sonlologest not from gynecologist. The presence of pear like cysts in ovary is necessary other wise there is no PCOS.

Okay. Ultrasound was done in lab by sociologist. Ct's, abdominal, pelvic, and vaginal ultrasounds were all performed in labs and reviewed by labs. All results were negative yet my diagnosis is still PCOS. How can that be?
