Miles Cavanagh is the leading character, who wants to stay in the Shire hunting, however is if forced to be guardian for a twenty year old, beautiful heiress. He hopes that this will bring him some reorganization. Later he discovers that Felicity is bent on getting married to a fortune hunter. But the problem is Miles falls in love with her. Felicity realizes that she is escalating feelings for Miles, but she has a perfect reason to marry a person of her own choice. Miles does not want her to the other wretch
They both are equal in terms of determination and cruelty, and embark on a path that is unsafe for them. You can read the further story in the book "Dangerous Joy".
