Usual age of breeding of a shih tzu dog is at least 2 years. You can breed him twice or thrice in month so that he can make good species of his own kind with female dog. There are various companies that provide breeding facility please check this site for further details:

Actually toy breeds are able to breed at a year, larger breeds like labs take 2 years to grow out before breeding.
