Think about this for a moment - if you had a mother or father that was a very active and well known politician it could be a trying time for a family.
Being a politician the public wants you to think just like they do.  And we all have different thoughts and opinions.
Public appearances bring the press and news, comments and interpretations of what the politician said/meant can be twisted.
You have no private life.  Look at Sarah Palin for instance - her daughter had a baby out of wedlock and that was a "big" thing.  So was the fact that Sarah herself has a challenged baby.
If you go to a party ad enjoy a drink - a newsperson who is looking to ruin your family will blow it out of proportion.
Everywhere you go - you are watched.
Your family can't do anything without someone watching you.
It can be like living in a glass house 24/7.
And it can be quite uncomfortable.
A politician is entitled to their own opinions - but many in the public don't feel that way.
