Movie or TV series? The theme song for the series was written and performed by Jan Hammer on his album Miami Vice in 1985, popular on the billboard charts in '86, but it featured no vocals. At the same time, Glen Frey's "You Belong to the City", written for the show, was also at the top of the charts.
