What States Surround Virginia?

Virginia was the tenth state to be incorporated into the United States of America union, on the 25th of June, in the year 1788. The name of the state is also expressed in its abbreviated form which is VA. The capital of the state is the city of Richmond, while the biggest city in terms of area is Virginia Beach. In terms of total area, Virginia ranks 35th in the country, and in terms of population, it ranks at number 12 in the country.

Virginia is surrounded by the following states - Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia as well as Washington and District of Columbia.

It is also bordered by two water bodies, namely the Atlantic Ocean and Chesapeake Bay.
The main industries here include farming, mining etc.
