How Many Planets Revolve Around The Sun?

The sun and the planets that revolve around it are collectively known as the solar system. There are nine planets in the solar system. The names of these planets are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. Out of all these planets, Earth is the only one that has life on it. The first four planets that are closest to the sun are known as terrestrial planets because of the presence of solid rocky surfaces on the. The next four are know as the gas giants and Pluto is the one which is the most distant from the sun and has an icy surface.
