How Do I Fist Fight?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

For obvious reasons, the best way in which to win a fist fight is probably to not get into one at all. But if you do for some reason, follow the given pointers:

Firstly, keep a distance from your opponent, to keep him from striking you. But you cannot keep it up forever; the opponent will find a way to hit you.  In such a case, keep your hands ready to strike, and when you have to , slam your open hand into his face, this will disorient him. To punch, keep your hand, your wrist and the two biggest knuckles in a linear line, and use those two knuckles to punch. Punch as hard and as quick as you are able to. Incorporate a few kicks in between the punches, to keep him busy. However, punches are not advisable if you have not undergone appropriate training.

Speaking as a boxer, you need to always keep your hands up to guard yourself.  If you are right handed, you'll want to have your left foot forward and jab with your left hand.  Your right is your power hand. You'll want to use this hand to use your cross or straight punches.  There are also hooks and upper cuts.  Hooks and upper cuts would both be done with your left hand.  For a southpaw like me you just need to do the opposite side for all of the punches.  You'll also want to work defense.  You can do a number of things.  You can duck which you'll want to do in a V type manouver.  You can use slips which is moving your head from side to side.  After each of these manouvers you'll want to counterpunch.
