When Did Walt Disney Die?

Walt Disney was fired by a newspaper editor because the editor thought he had no good ideas and he doodled too much.  But look at him now!  Hi!  I’m Taylor Tompkins and my speech is on the wonderful Walt Disney.
Walt Disney often took his daughters to amusement parks on Sunday mornings.  As he walked through these parks he wondered why they were always so dirty and run-down.  He also noticed that while the children were having fun, the adults were restless.  The experiences made Disney think of his next project:  The creation of an amusement park that would be different from all the others.  Of course people made fun of him and discouraged the project like people tend to do when someone has a new idea. However, he was determined to build the park even if he had to pay for it himself.  So Disney invested his life savings, including his house.  The park would be called Disneyland.  In December 1952 Walt started WED Enterprises the company that would create Disneyland.  WED was staffed by a talented group of architects, engineers, writers and artists.  Walt was happy and relaxed when he worked with his staff.  WED belonged to Disney and only Disney so he enjoyed the time spent there.  However, Disney also needed to earn money.  Television, which was a fairly new invention in the 1950’s was his answer.  Most movie makers saw television as a way to make movies and become famous, but Disney saw it as a way of making money. A pioneer in the field of television programming.  Disney began television production in 1954, and was among the first to present full-color programming whit his wonderful world of color in 1961.the Mickey mouse club was a popular favorite in the 1950s. Disney also made steam boat Willy and plane crazy both starring Mickey mouse.  Disney had hired a research team who selected 180 acres of land in Orange County, California as a home for his new park.  While Disneyland was being built, Disney squatted down everywhere in the park at the height of a child to make sure both kids and adults would feel comfortable in any part of the park.  Walt’s dream of a clean and organized amusement park came true as Disneyland opened in 1955.  Walt started making Disney World in Orlando Florida   in 1963 but in 1966 Walt died on December 15 1966 as a result to lung cancer.  
    I think Walt Disney has inspired a lot of people to never give up on their dreams.  Walt’s dream was to make a better park for families.  Disney’s dreams came true by making an outstanding park. He touched many lives by

He died on December 15, 1966 because he had lung cancer.He would have lived longer if he didn't smoke! Anyways, he was a great inventor!!!!!!! I'm a really big fan of his!!!!!!!

Walt Disney died on December 15, 1966, as a result of lung cancer. He was born on December 5, 1901, and was the co-founder of Walt Disney Productions, along with his brother, Roy O. Disney.

Walt Disney is one of the best known motion producers in the world, and his company (The Walt Disney Company), makes $30 billion a year. Walt died just a few years before the opening of his Walt Disney World project in Orlando, Florida.

Walt Disney achieved various awards throughout his career. He has broken a record for having the most Academy Awards (22 won, 4 honorary). He and his staff received more than 950 honors from every nation in the world throughout his career and he was nominated for 48 Acadmey Awards and 7 emmys.

Walt's brother, Roy O. Disney, died in 1971 of a brain hemorrage, three months after the opening of Magic Kingdom, the most famous Florida theme park.

Walt Disney is one of the most prestigious personalities in the world of Entertainment. He won a number of Academy awards as a producer, voice actor, animator, screenwriter, director etc. He was the founder of Walt Disney productions that is one of the leading production companies around the world.

Walt Disney was diagnosed with Lung Cancer due to his habitual chain smoking. Due to his health he had to step aside from his company's management. An enormous tumor on one of his lungs was discovered by doctors. When it was operated upon, the doctors saw that it had spread so much that they had to remove the affected lung altogether. He was given only six months. He collapsed on November 30, 1966 and died a few hours later in the hospital.

Walt Disney died on December 15th 1996.

The old guy died b/c of lung cancer in 1966 i have is biography on d.v.d i watch it all the time. Im 16 and such a huge fan...   But my question is what year did roy disney die??  I would love to have the last name of disney
