To find out weather it is male or female, you will have to wait for five to seven months. When they reach at that age, carefully watch them at their back. You will find an outgrowth there at the back of baby snapping turtle shell. It is clearly a male baby snapping turtle. Otherwise it is a female snapping turtle. Be careful while checking it. Watch the back of shell by using a flashlight. It will be clearly visible there.
