Cat has rash and hair loss around eyes. What's wrong and what's the remedy?

Around my cats eyes it is very red and the hair is missing. She is about eleven years old and has always been healthy and never been sick. Recently we got a new kitten who is very active and attacks my cat regularly. Could the kitten have been the culprit? The kitten also is very healthy. My cat doesnt like the kitten, but tolerates him.

Sounds like a common eye infection that kittens often get. Go to www.drlarrypetvet.com. This is a site that you can ask the vet a question for a minimal price. If that doesn't seem to help, then call a 24 hour veterinarian shop, and just explain to them what is going on with the older cat, and see what hey might suggest. Hope this helps.
