Most people will tell you to buy the hardware outright if at all possible because it will work out cheaper in the end. Buying outright does seem like the natural choice. Leasing, after all, is an expensive way of doing things. You may end up paying far more than the equipment is actually worth by leasing.
Purchasing the equipment, though, requires a lump sum upfront, cash that might serve your company better by being invested elsewhere, particularly if yours is a start-up
Typically, leasing contracts tie customers into monthly payments for between three and four years. Most companies will also demand that at least one month's leasing charges before parting with equipment.
The calculation that's required is whether the 36 or 48 monthly payments work out cheaper than paying a bank loan for the purchase amount at the outset. In almost all cases, getting a bank loan will be the least expensive option.
