Are There Pocket Bikes Aimed At An Adult Audience?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Yes, pocket bikes come in two sizes – mini and midi.  The midi-sized models, sometimes also known as super pocket bikes, are more suitable for adults, the midi designation meaning the bike is usually about 50 or 51 inches long.

Because of the increased size of a super pocketbike, the engines tend to be 49cc to ensure these machines still have plenty grunt when the throttle gets a handful. Factory-spec supers will easily reach 40 mph and more with a few modifications.

While you cannot compare a super pocketbike with a full-sized superbike like a Honda Fireblade, supers are the pocketbike equivalent of the 500GP. Super pocketbikes are very fast and need careful handling and attention. If you're new to pocketbikes, a super pocketbike is probably not for you. A super is really something to build up to with experience as they're out and out racers and not particularly forgiving of the novice rider.
