Wyoming is one of the states in the United States of America. It is in the western part of the USA with Montana to the north, South Dakota and Nebraska to the east, Colorado and Utah to the south and Idaho to the west.

It covers an area of 97 812 square miles and its capital is Cheyenne. Other major cities include Casper and Laramie. It is home to the Rocky Mountains, Yellowstone National Park, the first national part in the USA, which opened in 1872 and the hot springs, including a famous one called Old Faithful. It also has the Grand Teton National Park, the Bighorn Mountains, the Gannett Peak in the Wind River Range, the highest peak in the state, the Flaming George National Park and the Buffalo Bill Historical Center.

The state has a population of about half a million people, making it very underpopulated for its size. Wyoming is still full of wide open empty spaces and unspoiled areas of natural beauty.
