How Could Brazil Speak Portuguese?

    Because Brazil was discovered & ruled by the Portuguese at one time.

      It's simply a language, not a country.  Portuguese is spoken in Portugal and Brazil; it's simply the language that became established there, probably by who settled the country (Brazil).  The same way that Spanish is spoken in Mexico and English is spoken in the United States.
