China has a recorded history of at least four thousand years. Thousands of books have been written on different aspects of Chinese history and culture. You need to take a trip to the public library and spend some time browsing the books, describing their history from "the start till now" is a much longer answer than you'll find here. Here are some areas you could consider researching further: Early dynastic era, spring and autumn period, Han dynasty, Ten Kingdoms, Song dynasty, Qing dynasty, Republic of China, and the People's Republic of China.
