    A local government district in Norfolk, England is called the South Norfolk. The council of this place is located in Long Stratton and the region where the district is located is East of England.

    This district is completely parished and is comprised of one hundred and nineteen civil Parishes. When the census of 2001 was occurred, this district had an area of 909 square kilometres and the total population was 110,710. In terms of area it is ranked 35th.

    This district came into existence in the year 1974 and was formed under the Local Government Act 1972. The district was formed by merging several districts. These districts were Diss Urban District, Wymondham Urban District, Depwade Rural District, Forehoe and Henstead Rural District and Loddon Rural District.
