Answer Question

The old state road dates back to as early as 1800s when the old state road was built. This road was primarily built to connect the up country of South Carolina with North Carolina. A bridge called the Poinsett Bridge was built as a part of the old state road. It was built in 1820 and now has one of the oldest span and structure in the whole of United States. This bridge was named after a South Carolina public worker called Joel Poinsett. The old state road has now become the old state highway and much has changed since the 1800. Even the bridge is a Heritage spot.
