How Much Food Should I Be Feeding Our 22 Lb. Cat? I Say 1/2 Cup A Day, But My Family Says 1 Cup Or More.
Our cat is 9 years old and very big. My family thinks I am cruel for only feeding him 1/2 cup. What do you think?

Your cat is fully grown at 9 years old, and has been so for some time! 22lb is hefty for a domestic cat and you are right to try and restrict the food. It is cruel and neglectful of an animals health to allow it to become obese, just as much as starving it. You could always ask a vet to give you a diet sheet - this would give you a bit more authority with your family.

Well you cat weight is average weight bur you need to feed her more than 1 and 1/2 half a day because she is in growing age and she need good diet for growing so at least 2 and half cup is appropriate quantity of food for your cat.
