    Wrexham is close to Cheshire in England. It has much affiliation with sports. It has a professional football team called the Wrexham A.F.C. It is presently managed by Denis Smith. Wales has four professional rugby teams that play in the Celtic league that is sponsored by Magners. The Llanelli Scarlets is one of the teams. Wrexham is the centre of administration of the borough of Wrexham. Its first mention was in 1161. The town was created in 1536 as a part of Denbighshire. It was segregated into two townships Wrexham Abbott and Wrexham Regis- the latter was under the King's control.
