This Question Needs Answering:
What Is L-Lysine, Used For In Cats?
My kitten has an upper respiratory infection that he acquired at the Humane Society. I brought him to the vet today, and she gave him Clemastine and L-Lysine. She didn' really explain why she prescribed L-Lysine. My guess, is that it's to boost his immune system. Just wanted to know how others feel.

The cat has an URI, not herpes virus. I called the vet back, and it's an immune system booster-and no, he doesn't have herpes virus. Thanks anyway.
