    Three varieties of deer (white-tailed deer, common black-tailed deer, burro deer) are found abundantly in the mountains and surrounding areas.

    Antelopes are found in the valleys, plains and surrounding areas.

    Cougars, or California lions, are not abundant, but found in the rocky mountains.

    The large gray wolf is scarcely found, where as coyote wolf is quite abundant. They are a ugly animals, but don't have enough courage to attack people. They attack only if are in large number, or can't find anything else to eat.
