I don't know if you or she means by "The way she is." I will give you two different answers that will hopefully meet your needs in helping this friend.
If she is afraid that is too sinful for God to love her you might try the following approach.
Show her that no one is good enough to deserve God's love. Romans 3:23 says "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,". There is nothing anyone can do to earn or win God's love and acceptance. Jesus made a way for us to be accepted by God. Romans 5:8 explains it this way: "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." You see Christ didn't expect or ask us to get right in some way or to some how clean our selves up so he could make us right with God. No, he died for us knowing that we were sinners. His death makes us right if we accept him and what he has done for us.
Christ died because as Romans 6:23 says "For the wages of sin is death..." When Jesus died on the cross he paid the wages or debt that each of us owe for our sin condition. The second part of Romans 6:23 says: "...but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
How does a person get forgiveness and cleansing and this gift of eternal life? Romans 10:9-10 "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that confess and are saved."
Jesus himself said in John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
No sin is too great for God to forgive, no life is too dirty for God to love
If your friend is concerned that she has some physical condition or emotional or intellectual deficiency.
Most of the people God has used have felt inadequate in one way or another.
Moses stuttered:
When God sent Samuel to the home of Jesse to anoint one of his sons as king to replace Saul they looked at seven of Jesse's son's before they brought the one God wanted. They were taller, older and had other characteristics that made both their father and Samuel believe that they must be the one God had chosen. They were wrong. God had chosen the youngest of Jesse's son's, David who was a teenager with less experience and maturity and lacking in other qualities that his brothers had. God explained it to Samuel after he looked at the first son in 1 Samuel 16:7-- "Do not consider his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart."

- "O Lord,I have never been eloquent, neither in the past or since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and hopefuly" (Exodus 4:10).
- "If the Israelites will not listen to me why would Pharaoh listen to me, since I speak with faltering lips" (Exodus 6:12).

That's typically an excuse people use when they have some sort of problem (e.g. They are ugly, not very bright, etc.)
