Is Dial Up Really As Bad As They Make It Out To Be?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

If you will compare the dial up with DSL or any other high broadband then off course its very bad connection. The high speed connection is always giving the better speed than any other dial up connection. There is a big difference between the high broadband and dial up , the main different is the media which both things uses to travel the data and the transfer speed, modem usually 56 Kbps and High broadband is up to 5 Mbps.

The dial up uses the simple modem and that is why the speed is poor, it cannot play movies online in a best way and also cannot download a huge amount of data. Dial up always use the telephone systems and usually runs on a simple telephone wire, these wires usually work outdoor on the pools that is why these always occurs the problem of cutting wires and atmosphere effects. The second thing the exchange and the media which they are providing to the end user must be ok and working in good conditions, and the management of the ISP's and exchange both are check able.
