What Does Oxiclean Do For Tomato Plants?

I was told that applying oxiclean to my tomato plants would help them grow.

    Please don't believe that. Oxiclean is a cleaning agent. Ask the person to be specific, perhaps they mean to use a very little amount of Oxiclean with water to rinse your vegetables.

    I should imagine it would kill it as it contains bleach !!
