This question has been around at least once before.  Mrs. Clinton has always been a Mrs. In Americas eyes.  We hardly know Ms. Parlin and when she was first introduced she or someone let it be know that she had been in a Beauty Queen contest, and a lot of the news have talked more about her looks so she has been seen as ms. More than a Mrs. No slip of the tongue or whatever the beauty queen is Ms. Palin.

There's all the reasons that people have written that you would expect, careless typo, it's their attempt to be disrespectful, it's b/c of her political position (governor as opposed to senator). The only reason I can think of that hasn't been said is age difference. In the political world Palin is young, while Hillary is older and has more political experience.

I'm not sure, could be lack of respect, lack of knowledge, careless misprint, who knows??? What is your thought on it your views are always interesting to read. That's liberals in the paper if you ask me.

I think it's intentional disrespect. Both are heads of families, so should technically be "Mrs.", IMHO. But since both are elected officials, that should be trumped by "Governor" and "Senator", to be fair. But is the liberal media fair?

My initial response is in complete agreement with GodloveU, and Bifmeister. However I read the article in question and I failed to find any mention of "Mrs, Clinton" just Senator Clinton, so I could not make an accurate comparison.

EXHIBIT A:"During their debate, Mr. Lazio walked over to Mrs. Clinton's podium to ask her to a sign a pledge against accepting so-called soft money campaign contributions."

EXHIBIT B: "He said Mr. Biden needed to avoid doing anything that would appear 'glowering' or 'menacing' and would engender sympathy for Ms. Palin."

Women are generally given a choice these days as to how they wish to be addressed. Some women are militant about it. I think Republicans tend to be more traditional, and their view of Women is first as wife and mother, and they proudly bear their married title. Democrats are more liberal (supposedly) and in these Modern times, i THINK women who are more liberal, chose to be addressed as Ms. Or by their job title, denoting that they wish to be respected for their accomplishments, not their spouse's. If I were a Senator or a Governer, I would want to be called by my job title. I realize that Mrs. Clinton is a Democrat, and Ms. Palin is Republican, so I think it is the liberal nature of the press.

I would say that they both should have the same title. In my English classes at college there was one way.

Newspapers and other media are usually liberal.  maybe they are trying to promote Hillary as a family gal, and Sarah as a tough broad.  seems to me, they have the 2 mixed up!

You know the media is mostly biased to the left that is why it is an intentional miscue to make Mrs. Palin look a little less Vice Presidential!
