Romo is surname with its origin in the Basque region, in Northern Spain (although some historians consider its origin in Castilla, Central Spain). The most famous of this family, Don Ramón de Romo y Garza, Count of Muzquiz, fighted against the Dorados de Villa and was father of Doña Beatriz de Romo y Villareal.
