What Kind Of Fish Food Do Minnows Eat?

Hi, I have a Blue Stripe Garter Snake, and I bought some minnows from the pet store to feed it. I got a small tank to keep them in, and we have anbout 10 or 15 at a time in there. So my question is what to feed these minnows. I tried feeding them some of my betta fish food and they don't eat it! So IDK what to try next... I don't think they make minnow food... (???)

They should have no probs with flake fish food... You're right, I believe, they don't seem to make a specific "minnow food".   So, goldfish flakes or whatever will be fine.

It's more likely that they're not eating because minnows really need so little food to keep them going.  Apparently, feeding them too much leads to more waste in the water, which leads to an increased level of ammonia in the water as well, so, if the Betta fish food is a flake one, I'd say they're probably fine, they're just not that hungry atm!

Minnows are not likely to eat regular fish food.  They are wild, fresh water little fish, and respond well to live small insects, mosquito larvae, etc.  Minnows can survive a few days without food.  But anything small, live and wiggling will get their attention and make them eat.

I feed my shiners finely-crushed, dried-out bread. 2-3 pinches a couple of times a day seems to keep them happy.

Dog food works well, any kind of generic dry chunk ,especially when trapping them little suckers...

Minnows eat goldfish food. Just sprinkle it so the flakes are small enough for their littles mouths to handle!

When i owned some minnows i feed them with some normal fish pellets. If you go into any fish pet store they will show you to the best product.

If you have no luck try some blood worms they are usually fed to beta fish. I have some minnows in a tank just for looks and they seem to take them well or you can get a bucket of small works at the bait store for them to eat.
