 These are the animals that are preferred by many of the families to keep them as pets and they belong to Mustelidae group. ‘Mustela Putorius Furo’ is the scientific name of these animals and this is still a question that what exactly the origin of these animals is. But there are few researches that show that these animals are the races arose from the Mustela Putorius. They are neither wild animals nor like the domestic pets such as the dogs and the cats. They are polite and friendly natured mammals that are preferred by many families to have them as pets.

But nowadays these species are very rare as they are no longer in existence. There are different names for the ferrets in different languages like Dutch people are used of calling them fret and French people call them Furet. People in different regions around the world keep them according to their environment and living habitats. These animals are not available nowadays because of so many different reasons. There are certain beliefs that they are wild animas but actually they are not.
